MEDICINE AND RHETORIC~
This course introduces students to an understanding of "medicine" as a socially constructed
term that operates through popular words, symbols, and images to communicate meaning
and induce certain forms of social action. Students will be asked to pay close attention
to academic writing, to analyze and discuss relevant literature, and to engage in college-level
forms of inquiry and research.
