GLOBALIZATION AND AMERICAN POP CULTURE~ From McDonalds and KFC to American Idol, the NBA, Jay-Z and the latest special effects laden action movie, American Pop Culture is a potent worldwide force. This course provides an in-depth analysis of the role American popular culture plays in shaping globalization. It explores the ways American movies, television programs, music, sports, fast food, and even fashion have molded and influenced globalization. The course will be more discussion, rather than lecture, based.
