FRCL 19000 - THE AMERICAN MOSAIC, PART I
THE AMERICAN MOSAIC, PART I~ This course examines historical and contemporary aspects of American culture. Topics may include consumerism, advertising, race, gender and current issues. Students explore these topics through literature, film, class discussion, campus activities, and cultural excursions. Class time emphasizes skill development in spoken and written English. Students write three papers and give two presentations. Placement or permission of instructor
