CONFUCIUS COMMUNISTS & CHINESE CAPITALISTS~ China's image in film and literature.: From war to peace, from famine to plenty, from communist bogeyman to helpful ally, from the distant past to the imagined future, China has been viewed in every possible light. This course examines the myriad different images presented of China, in both film and literature, throughout modern times and across cultures. The course will be more discussion, rather than lecture, based.
